Beauty Catch Up
I just realized that I haven’t really posted very much here since before Christmas. If anyone has read my blog for a while but not followed me on youtube, the reason I guess this was so, was because I was having really bad allergic reaction to something. Enormous hives which I am still having but they are more under control now. I was also experiencing a direct allergic reaction to some make up remover wipes that I was using to remove my eye makeup and resulted in huge swollen puffy eyes for days. So now that I’ve started feeling better and feel good enough to post some pictures and videos I thought I would add all of the videos of stuff that I’ve done since that time.
I did a Christmas haul, and a couple of hauls since then. I did a video talking about my experience with Calypso Minerals and how they just kind of ripped a lot of people off. She caused a major ripple of anger through youtube and beauty communities because she just disappeared with a lot of people’s money. In that video I have pictures of a Lisa Frank inspired eye look that I did from one of the gurus that I’m subscribed to on youtube.
Finally I have some pictures that I am adding of a makeup mask look that I did the other day for Mardi Gras. I have been meaning to push myself outside my comfort zone for some time and this is the look that I came up with. I would have liked to try a Venetian Mask but I felt that was a little too intricate for my skill level so I started simple first. I was pleased with the results for my first time trying my hand at creating a mask with all makeup. I used to be able to draw but that takes a lot of practice and guidance for me (I learned to draw from an instructional book). So as a result shapes and such were not exactly even and there were some mistakes that I just could not remove because I had used paint pot on my face for the base of the makeup. Anyway, enjoy!

Purply Girlie Eyeshadow Look
Showing off my handy work of what keeps me from going bored at night when I am up working and taking phone calls. I was inspired to recreate one of Makeup Geek’s girlie looks that she did a few weeks ago, of course using dupes of whatever products I have in my collection already. I think if I had plans to go out for NYE tonight I would definitely wear this and perhaps do it as glam as I could with some glitter maybe too. I don’t know who knows. Plus size ladies need to look their cutest too don’t they? But nevertheless, I am not going out tonight I am working because I have an itchy case of hives from a shellfish allergy and I would not be in the partying mood.
The products I used to create the look are:
- Illuminance Creme Shadows in Wild Orchid by Revlon – 2nd color from left as base on lid only.
- Purple eyeshadow pictured in video- it’s not a MAC it’s a knock off just find something that shade, pat that onto the wild orchid creme base you have applied.
- H.I.P. pigment in Fiery blend that above the crease from the purple up towards brow bone.
- H.I.P. Dashing Duo – using pink as highlight below brow and black on the outer corner to darken the V
- Milani Infinite purple liquid liner -upper lash line
- Milani brow kit
- Sonia Kashuk black gel liner set with purple shadow- below lower lash line
- Sonia Kashuk black eyeliner -inner lash line
- Femme Couture silver cloud mineral pigment from Sally Beauty on tear duct
- Paparazzi Pink lipstick from Revlon
- Dream Matte Mousse Rose Blush

I recorded a video last night about my personal feelings about size acceptance and what it means to me at this point in my life. I have come to realize that force feeding anything down people’s throats who don’t want to accept us for who we are is perfectly fine for me. Having recently been reminded of how much I love being an individual who has the freedom to make my own personal choices, this got me to thinking about knowing when to pick and choose your battles wisely and carefully. BBW and BHM are always going to be here and there are always going to be people who don’t like us and feel that we should not have the right to dress how we want to dress or have the kind of lifestyles that we aspire to.
I say that it’s time we just carve out our own niche and create our own Big lifestyle t aspire to that has nothing to do with anything that isn’t positive and willing to celebrate every size. We are talented, beautiful and we have money to spend just like everyone else. There is no reason why we should not be able to achieve status like anyone else. We just need someone to create it for us so we can go out and grab our share of the pie. I will be waiting designers and I hope that you deliver and deliver big!

Sephora Candy Colors Inspired Eyeshadow Look
This pretty color combination from Sephora matched my blouse and I just think it’s such a pretty look. This is not the exact recreation of the Sephora candy color’s look but it was an inspired look created by enkoremakeup on youtube.

Warm Neutral Eye
I’ve been playing with my new 88 warm palette from coastal scents since it arrived the other day. Yesterday I came up with a nice neutral look that I really liked because of the soft, creamy, peachy kind of colors used on the lids with the warm, rich chocolate color on the outer eye. It was my intention to have the one eye done and then just show you on the second eye but I forgot I wasn’t filming so this is the point from where you can see me doing my eyeshadow. I like how this look makes my droopy lids look, it opens it up and makes it look more bright and wide and even though the one color had a tiny bit of shimmer in it, this really is a very matte eye look which is nice with the light colors.
