Forever 21 Is a Plus Size Fail
I do get it that a lot of companies are jumping on the plus size band wagon. I know Delia’s has plus size and some other stores as well. There are top name designers who are now catering to plus sizes up to a size 24 and there are several plus size chains and web-based companies who are exclusively plus size. However, I would like to talk about Forever21′s plus size collection. Forever 21 carries their Faith21 line in select locations and I just happen to live about an hour away from the Holyoke, MA location so I took a drive down about two weeks ago. They have a very limited size range which goes from 1x-3x and those sizes would approximately fit size 14/16- 18/20 (size 20 is pushing it). Over the years I have run the gammut of clothing sizes from 14-28 so I can look at something and know if it’s going to fit me or not, regardless of the size that is on the label.
First of all, I walked into the store which did seem to have a good number of employees yet nobody ever greeted me upon entering the location nor did anyone at any time come up to me and ask me if I needed any assistance in finding anything or if I was looking for something special. I was left to my own devices. It is a very nice store, very large and I can see how people could possibly get overlooked. However, I did observe an employee who was busy folding clothes while he was busy flirting with a guy who was in there chatting up a storm with him!
So if you are on the bottom end of the plus size scale you should have no problem squeezing your fat butt into their clothing as long as you like helping yourself when you go shopping there. I mean for that matter you could just shop online where nobody helps you anyway, at least online you kind of expect it and you know that your money is not getting spent on someone who gets paid to flirt. I don’t know that’s just me. This is just my experience that I had in one store and was disappointed with the whole thing. If stores want to truly cater to plus sizes, they should understand what the plus size market is comprised of. But I fully understand that they are just not ready to have an army of fatties in their stores wearing their clothing. I guess companies are willing to forgo the green when it comes to who wears their stuff.
I am not saying that I should not have to lose weight or anything, however I am the size I am right now and right now I am looking to find the best clothes I can to put myself in the best possible light. The bottom line is Faith21 does not allow me to do that with their clothes so I have to continue to shop elsewhere.

Collective Plus Size Clothing Haul
I have amassed a nice little haul of stuff over the last couple of weeks. Even scoring three maxi dresses now and lots of other pretty tops for the summer. I’ve been having great success finding cute pieces of plus size clothing in my immediate area which really only has Fashion Bug, TJ Maxx, and JC Penney, and latter can look downright matronly lol.
I went to Forever 21 two days ago to check out their Faith 21 line for plus size girls. While 90% of the clothing was very cute, they are cut way way way small and you can tell that they have just extended up to maybe about a size 16 with their 2x size which is all my store had. You can tell when they go from a size 8 and just make it bigger. I applaud them for making a line for plus size girls and that they are hoping on the bandwagon even if the entire plus size collection took up only a corner of the HUGE store. If you are a real plus size woman though, there is no way that any of their clothing will fit. I was hoping for at least one item I could have bought but none of the fabric had any real stretch to it and those that did really didn’t look like they could withstand being stretched too too much and would have made the dress or top look bad. Oh well…

Fashion Bug Plus Size Haul
I just uploaded my haul video today. I hit Fashion Bug the other day to see what cute plus size clothes they had in because I’ve been really slacking in the clothing department lately. So, of course they have like everything on clearance when I went. If their already low prices are not enough to attract you, then when you can get those prices for even lower I know for myself I just cannot pass them up. Plus all of the great and fun accessories you can get in there makes Fashion Bug well worth having them on your list of go to stores.

Plus Size Clothing Sales
There are some great sales going on this week. First this little plus size boutique called Trentacosta is having a 65% clearance sale on all of their pretty, contemporary, plus size designs. He has some very pretty dresses in different styles and you really can grab them up for a steal right now.

Next is Size Appeal who is running a 30% off sale on their entire store plus you get free shipping with all orders $39.99 or more. Here are some of their great new arrivals from plus size dresses to trendy plus size tops.
I kind of really like this plus size maxi dress and I might have to grab this one up too. Gotta see what I have left over to spend on fun stuff because it’s definitely pretty. The great thing too that I just discovered is they have quite a few to choose from so grab em while they are on sale.
I’ve seen something like this plus size sleeveless cardigan in Lauren Conrad’s collection and I really like how simple it is. This is a great piece to have in your wardrobe
Cute and sexy, curve hugging plus size mini dress for when you need something pretty hot.
