I did a Bath & Body Works Haul back in October. I have to say that I seemed to have become very distracted from what I was doing with this site and my makeup channel. Sometimes life just gets in the way of other extracurricular activities like making videos. In any event I hope you like my own personal picks from their store for the foaming hand soaps (although I ended up hating Twilight woods, bleh).

When I really started to take a new focused interest in my beauty as a plus size woman, I drew a lot of inspiration from many of the beauty gurus of YouTube. While I certainly have my down days as far as just being casual and comfortable hanging around my house, when I am out and about I feel it is important to maintain my perception of my own beauty as a plus size gal. There are a lot of odds stacked against us as big women and that is why I feel it is that much more important that we keep on top of our self-image.  When I want to learn new looks I turn to some of the best makeup gurus of YouTube.  So what is plus size beauty? For me it is an expression of myself as a big woman who takes care to dress well, look good, and project an outward image of beauty and confidence while embracing my current size.

For years I had a look that I subscribed to and did not deviate from. Since last year, I have embraced the idea of wearing colored eyeshadow again. There are times when I take risks and sometimes I fail and sometimes I really hit it out of the ballpark but the one thing that is consistent is that I try it. Every one of the people that I mention in my latest video are mentioned because I feel they stand apart in their own way. Most are the most popular makeup artists on YouTube but I feel they each have their own unique presence. If you have unfamiliar with who any of them are, I hope you will subscribe to them and enjoy them as much as I do.

Lately I have been very frustrated over the overall quality of men that you tend to find on bbw and plus size datings sites such as bbwdatefinder.com or largeandlovely.com.  I predominantly use bbwdatefinder.com because I had started growing weary of the kinds of websites such as fling.com that promoted a more casual environment in which to meet people and also I felt that the less specialized dating sites such as plentyoffish.com opened me up to more abuse from the male users on those sites.

I have been thinking to myself about these sites tonight. In fact I had been thinking about them for months and had come to the decision six months ago that I was going to become the person that attracts the type of man that I want to meet and have in my life.  So I guess you can say that my quest to lose weight and change my body and overall life was to be the best person I could be to offer to another person so that I would be attractive to better quality men.

By going about my research tonight, some things became apparently clear to me. For starters the reason that I keep feeling disappointed about the prospects on these specific dating sites is that because all of the plus size dating websites that I researched all had lower demographics. Most were less affluent as opposed to match.com members who are in the more affluent category.  Also a majority of the people on the plus size dating sites were not college educated. I can’t really say much there because I myself did not complete any college course of study. But it does give you a good idea of why things are such a let down.

The average percentage of members who are more affluent on these sites is a significant amount less and once you divide that between men and women, it becomes a very small percentage of men in a higher demographic interested in dating women of size. I’m not advocating that anybody go out and change their lives just to catch a man. I am just throwing out some facts that I have collected tonight. In fact, you may have a much better chance of meeting someone of a higher quality by using a site like match.com.

So I don’t necessarily have the answers for anyone but myself but I do know that there are certain facts that have come to light that I just cannot ignore when it comes to how more affluent men view fat women and their own life goals, demographic, and what they are pursuing in a partner.  Having those things at your disposal means you can have a better life, a better mate, and a better everything. At least that is the perception.  It makes me do a lot of sole searching and deep thinking and truly deciding what it is that I really want for myself.

I thought it would be nice to really give you a good mix of the kinds of videos that I do for the blog and for my youtube channel.
